With me being in South Carolina I'm in Dorian's path. Hopefully the predictions remain true and it will be a Category 2 when it passes by us. Good luck man, hope it doesn't hit or if it does, it is severely weakened.
Forecast says that it should be a category 2 when it passes by us.

Good, but still, be careful, stay safe.

The destruction in the Bahamas from Dorian is incredible; the place looks like one of those WWII cities after the bombings---there's almost nothing left. The death toll is currently 43, but thousands are missing, and reportedly the smell of death is everywhere. And of course there are many stories coming out of that, from the tragic to the heroic. The Coast Guard is helping, as are cruise lines and many nations. www.foxnews.com/world/stranded-bahamas-abaco-island-devastated

I'm kind of surprised that some things are still standing. I am not sure if Iniki was even a cat2 when it hit Kauai and that caused massive damage. If a 5 ever hit us, we'd be gone. I hope that they can recover as well as possible.

Hopefully, Hawaii will be spared anything like that.

Hope we are spared something like that too.

I got lucky. Just some branches knocked off trees and in my neighborhood lights would occasionally flicker on and off.
