I've decided this year that I'm going to watch at least 1 older (let's say pre-1980, maybe up to '85 depending on how this goes) movie per week. Over the last couple nights I've knocked out:
Charlotte Rampling was a hottie.
Both fantastic movies!

The banter...my God, the glorious banter! Yes. People used to be witty rather than sarcastic.

One of the best (not planned for) comedies I've seen in a long time. Laughably horrendous.

Never saw the movie. The novelization by Robert Weverka was such a godawful piece of crap that I could never bring myself to see the film. What's your take, Holmesophiles?

One of my favorites. Found Plummer's take on Holmes generally in keeping with Doyle's take, though Plummer's adds some sentiment Holmes would likely never openly display. Also, everyone gets his physical prowess wrong. Holmes was an excellent fighter in Doyle's books.

The zombies seem more alive then the cast.
