DreamWorks Drops ‘Dragons: The Nine Realms’ Season 5 Trailer

DreamWorks Animation has just released a new trailer for Dragons: The Nine Realms Season 5, inspired by the popular How to Train Your Dragon franchise. Six all-new episodes hit Hulu and Peacock March 2.

The show is set 1,300 years after the events of How To Train Your Dragon, in modern times when dragons are thought to be just a legend. When a geological anomaly opens an immense, miles-deep fissure in the Earth’s surface, scientists gather together from around the world. An unlikely group of misfit kids, brought to the site by their parents, discover the truth about dragons and where they’ve been hiding -- a secret they must keep to themselves to protect what they’ve found.

In the new season, after coming face to face with Thunder and learning about the existence of dragons, Tom’s mom, Olivia, realizes this secret may be too big for her to keep. While Tom tries to hide the dangers of the Hidden World from his mom, the Riders discover a new realm and a mischievous new species, and Tom digs deeper into his special connection to dragons.

Disney Branded Television Drops ‘Kiff’ Trailer and Key Art

Disney Branded Television just shared the trailer and key art for their new animated buddy comedy series, Kiff, premiering Friday, March 10, on Disney Channel (8:00 p.m. EST/PST) and Wednesday, March 15, on Disney+.

From creators and executive producers Lucy Heavens and Nic Smal, the series follows optimistic squirrel Kiff (Kimiko Glenn, Orange is the New Black) and her chill bunny bestie Barry (H Michael Croner, Craig of the Creek) as they navigate school, relationships and their often-eccentric community in Table Town, a world where animals and magical oddballs tackle day-to-day life together. Inspired by the people and places Heavens and Smal experienced while growing up in Cape Town, South Africa, each half-hour episode, comprised of two 11-minute stories, includes a new original song.

Paramount+ Shares ‘Rugrats’ Season 2 Trailer

Paramount+ has just released the official trailer and key art for Rugrats Season 2, an original animated series following the iconic babies – Tommy, Chuckie, Angelica, Susie, Phil, and Lil – as they explore the world and beyond from their wildly imaginative point-of-view. The streamer premieres the first 13 episodes of the new season on Friday, April 14, in the U.S. and Canada.

In the new season, the babies are back and ready to take on the world with their pint-sized perspectives and a diapie full of snacks. New episodes follow Tommy, Chuckie, Angelica, Susie, Phil, and Lil as they cross the frozen tundra, discover the treasures of ancient babies, and go on the greatest adventure of all: meeting Tommy’s new brother!

Adult Swim Drops Genndy Tartakovsky’s ‘Unicorn: Warriors Eternal’ Trailer

Adult Swim has just announced the upcoming release of Emmy Award-winning Genndy Tartakovsky’s long-awaited 2D animated series Unicorn: Warriors Eternal. The first two episodes will premiere Thursday, May 4 at midnight on Adult Swim and the next day on HBO Max. After that, episodes debut weekly with encores on Adult Swim and Toonami.

The steampunk fantasy tale produced by Cartoon Network Studios is reminiscent of Tartakovsky’s past works and cinematic style. Unicorn: Warriors Eternal is a supernatural animated-action series that follows a team of heroes who reawaken to fight an ominous force throughout eternity. When the heroes awaken in the bodies of new unsuspecting hosts, they must find a way to protect the world against the prevailing darkness.
