This is a thread to post news and discuss the world of tokusatsu (lit. [Japanese] special effects). Tokusatsu includes shows like Kamen Rider (when this thread was created, the series running is Kamen Rider Zi-O), Super Sentai (currently Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger) which comes over to the West as Power Rangers, and Ultraman (Ultraman R/B just ended a few weeks ago). I consider kaiju films like Godzilla and Gamera tokusatsu too, as well as many anime to live-action adaptations.

I've only watched a little of the first band of heisei rider. Starting with Ryuki (aka Dragon Knight) it was way too much rider vs rider. Got back into it with Decade which had references to all the past riders. Loved W and have watched more thoroughly since then.

Tsuburaya Productions began streaming the first English-dubbed episode of the Ultra Fight Victory series on Saturday.

Tsuburaya Productions describes the series:

Build New World Kamen Rider Grease Film Revealed With Teaser Video

V-Cinema announced its Build New World Kamen Rider Grease V-Cinext project as the "final chapter" for the Kamen Rider Build live-action series on Wednesday. The project will have a limited theatrical run this fall before shipping on DVD and Blu-ray Disc on November 27. Toei also began streaming a teaser video for the project.

Ultraman R/B Select! Kizuna no Crystal Film's Trailer Previews Theme Song by Takeshi Tsuruno, DAIGO

Tsuburaya Productions began streaming a web-exclusive trailer for Gekijōban Ultraman R/B Select! Kizuna no Crystal (Ultraman R/B The Movie Select! The Crystal of Bonds), the film based on the newest Ultraman series Ultraman R/B, on Thursday. The video previews the film's theme song "Hikari no Kizuna" by Takeshi Tsuruno (Ultraman Dyna) and DAIGO (Ultraman Saga). Tsuruno wrote the lyrics, DAIGO composed the piece, and Sho of the rock band MY FIRST STORY arranged the song.
