Before anyone goes blaming PG's first nu52 outfit on Perez, he didn't do it. Also, don't blame it on Maguire either. He explained that to me when I complained; it was actually designed by committee, and he had to draw it. Or rather, he drew things, and they told him to change elements until they reached the perfect storm of ugly.
That was the reason why he left; editorial interference, usually AFTER he submitted finished pages; they'd tell him to go back and redo it. Nice going, DC.

If we're taking really stupid costumes, I'm going to rip this band-aid real quick.  I don't think I need to elaborate. I am not a Lobo fan, but this did not fit my image of him at all…
I guess that isn't *just* his costume though…
That is the Mod Lobo. I'm glad they went back to the Rocker Lobo.

It kind of like they took the "red trunks" concept and sexualized it in the most obvious way possible. When they're changing Batgirl to have a more "practical" look, they get rid of Kara's skirt and place the pentagonal frame of the Krpytonian crests over her crotch. Setting aside whether it looks aesthetically acceptable (for one reason or another), they couldn't have thought they were fooling anyone. Well, they probably did and would be delusional to think so, but still. This about as transparent as when someone on "Red Hood and the Outlaws" said their favorite part of the first issue was Starfire coming out of the water because of "her smile". Riiiiiight...that one remind anyone else of a Jeff Dunham joke?

The armor look could work if they could come up with a reason like Superman's powers are fading.
