Gonna lose next year to the King of the Monsters, Monkey!  He should, but that movie is being made by Americans, so I bet wins. No way that happens, WB has too much invested in Godzilla, I doubt Toho would allow it, and face it, is nowhere near as popular as Godzilla, who was also more of a face his first time out with WB than , who after all, ate a guy, stepped on that other guy from the Prometheus School of Running Away, smashed Sam Jackson, and generally acted like a dick, while Godzilla...well, was kind of the second hero after Kick-Ass. IMO, Godzilla should win, but it will probably end with them hugging it out or something as they first fight, then team up to fight whatever Godzilla villain the want to use next. Hard to top King Ghidorah though. |

When was more popular and famous. Now's different. Toho itself isn't going to be the one to make the movie, why would they let their own character lose? Godzilla's just there to clear the deck for me... Also, I'm not certain who actually owns the rights to , but while WB itself might be leasing them, I doubt they own him outright. My guess is either Universal or RKO if that still exists in any fashion. In any case, I'm fairly certain as well that Toho doesn't have the rights. |
