IMO, the greatest adventure movie ever made, and one of the two greatest popcorn movies of all time, the other being Star Wars the original Han shot first no CGI crap animals all over the place version.

Interestingly, IMO the Raiders franchise followed the same path as the Star Wars franchise. The first was the best, the second, not as good, the third, disappointing. The fourth, not worth mentioning. And yet...any of the first three Raiders or SW movies are better by leagues than most movies today. Ya gotta wonder, how can a movie with Harrison Ford as the best movie hero of all time, and Sean Connery playing his father, along with Elliot and Rhys-Davies.

I enjoy all the Indiana Jones movies, though I also find the last one the weakest entry.

I have a nice barbed wire whip you can hit yourself with the next time you watch this, just to remind yourself that there are much more pleasant ways to pass the time than watching Old Indiana Jones and the Time Everyone Involved Stopped Caring.

The first one was the best, the third was very good (except for, you know, one pistol shot taking out a string of Nazis), the second was a disappointment, and the fourth sucked balls.

It is certainly not my favorite, but still better than much of what is being put out today. I think this movie gets a bad rap.
