So, what are they planning now that Endgame is out? What's next, and how will they handle the loss of the various key players like RDJ, CE, and ScarJo? And in fact is ScarJo gone after her solo movie, which I presume is set in the past? Isn't Shang-Chi planned? What else have they mentioned, and do you guy's think they can continue to pull it off, or does this mark an inflection point?

I'm hoping that all the time travel in Endgame rouses Kang'a attention, and that besides him the next phase gives us hints of the FF, X-Men and Doom, who will show up for real in phase 5 (which will culminate in Galactus), which then leads to Phase 6 which ends with Secret War, after which they blow it all up and reboot.

Everyone seems to be saying they are setting up Namor with that undersea quake line; which I think is a bit thin in terms of loge, but it is Marvel so nothing would be surprising. I'm hoping for the lesser lights of Marvel properties, like Alpha Flight, or Great Lakes Avengers, or Deadpool joining the MCU proper. Or a Jubilee, Dazzler, Boom-Boom team up move which would just be utterly fantastic. Sort of a Charlie's Angels flick, but with superpowers.
I guess Fantastic Four and maybe Silver Surfer are probably a solid lock though. I guess we'll find out shortly when they announce the schedule.

I want Thunderbolts, damn it! T’bolts, as much as I love them, would be really really hard to do in movies b/c it’s unpossible to break in the surprise factor. And either way, whether you go the surprise route or not, you’d need to see a Masters of Evil first (which, tbh, I’d LOVE to see be the threat/enemy in the next Avengers flick)

And the more I think about it, while I know timing-wise it would be damn near impossible, what I would love to see, if Marvel had any real balls (which they should at this point, but I will understand why they don't/won't in this case...can't piss off too many ticket-buyers), would be a Howard the Duck movie next year or I guess by 2024 (both election years) where they do a riff on the classic 1976 Howard for President story, basically lampooning and lambasting the entire American political party system. I think that would be a hoot.

I want Thunderbolts, damn it! Although I think audiences would have revolted, I would have loved to see Endgame come in three years. Between Infinity War and Endgame would be Thunderbolts, the team that took over when many heroes disappeared. Probably wouldn't have worked, but that it what I was thinking after I saw the snap.

You could find a way if there is will.

You could find a way if there is will. Yeah, but that initial MoE version remains the best, and it's why it worked the best. It's the whole villains pretending to be good who actually turn good that made that team special, and whether you do the surprise or not, you really can't do that effectively without establishing the villains first.
Any of those other versions is "just another team" and/or "Suicide Squad-lite", neither of which is anything noteworthy.

That a bit like saying GotG were just Avengers in space.Just another team can still work or do something original,if executed well. IMO,the central theme of Thunderbolts was about former villains seeking redemption (lets not count 2012 series and whatever Jim Zub was trying to do) and you can do that. You can honor its spirit but not its letter.

But again, to have it make any impact I feel like you need to introduce them as villains first.* Otherwise you're half-assing it in 1 movie like Suicide Squad did. And with the state of the marvel machine, they absolutely don't have to do that and can take their time to establish them.
Basically I just want to see the Avengers fight the MoE.
* I mean yeah, at this point you could have Zemo, Ghost, Vulture, and Shocker already established, maybe an actual Mandarin and now-closer o actual comics-aged Justin Hammer, but that's about it and they've never been a team before. And if everything going forward follows the 5 year gap set out in Endgame, I don't know how viable all those would still be without pulling a fairly cheap "oh they all got snapped the first time" sort of hand-wave
