By rules and standards of DC Comics, last night's episode of Supergirl was EXACTLY like the Superman comic it's based on...because they gave Manchester purple hair and Hat was a borderline alcoholic.
Totally identical, you guys.

I have no clue how any of you are still watching that shit. I mean, sure, I have my issues...I still love me some Arrow, BL, Flash, and Legends. But good God, those look like Breaking Bad, True Detective, the Wire, and Seinfeld compared to Supergirl.

Arrow:
I gotta say, this season of Arrow (and really the end of last season) just continues to be a giant mishmash of really, really strange narrative decisions. I still have no idea what the point of Diaz, and why his events in the plot happened as they did, has ever been.
And if this whole season has been a way to build up this Dante guy, I gotta say...it kinda worked I guess? I mean, in roughly 3 minutes tonight, he's already a thousand times more believable of a threat than Diaz ever was, it's just a little weird that he hasn't shown up until now (not so bad in and of itself...it's just with all the teases through the Dig & Lyla stuff, which frankly never felt like more than the C plot in any episode, it never seemed like that's what we were leading to).
And I actually kinda like the idea and the roster of Team Arrow 2.0 in the flash-forward, but that plot is an absolute chore to get through. So boring.
And Evilaurel's face turn? Blargh.

Meanwhile, tonight is King Shark vs. Gorilla Grodd. I am positively giddy with anticipation.

Great Flash episode...or GREATEST Flash episode? Yeah it had a lot of dumb shit in it as usual (anybody else notice how The Flash feels less and less about the actual Flash every episode, or is that just me? Barry barely did anything this ep), but from pretty much the second Grodd showed up around the halfway point I couldn’t stop grinning.
- Grodd is back! Grodd eps always feel special, as they should, and this one was no exception. Love that his mental powers are continuing to escalate and we're actually getting the beginnings of real "world domination" plots now
- Papa Joe is back!!!!! This show is just better with Joe West in it, period full stop.
- Sherloque remains great, but then Cavanaugh always classes the joint up much like Joe does
- GRODD IS BACK!!!!!
Fun ep that lived up to expectations.

"We're going to give the murderous dude a choice if he wants this meta-cure."
...
*Smacks Barry with a dirt shovel*
Okay, I can see this being the case for a meta that accidentally did some damage when their powers emerged or overall didn't really want to do any harm. I can even get behind showing compassion to their enemies. But for someone that has mercilessly attacked/killed innocent people, I think just super-speed over and use that syringe. As it is, they're going to spend an entire episode debating over this, looking for/calling out Cicada, he's not going to cooperate, will escape with ease yet again, and go underground for an episode or two to continue dragging out this villain.

Fun ep that lived up to expectations. It was fun. And it did something that SG is apparently not even aware of, having the hero realize that his views on morality...aren't alway right. Whereas Wokegirl has its lead and supporting characters smugly certain of their own moral superiority over the stupid hoi polloi, Flash...and Arrow, have heroes and supporting characters aware that moral questions can be complex, and that their own world view isn't always right, and also has them adjust their behavior as a result. But Wokegirl never learns, and just keeps on being overly woke. It's the difference between outright propaganda, pushing one view of how things need to be, vs and actual examination of issues. It's obvious that Wokegirl is the worst of the CW hero shows by far, with terrible writing and no Joe, no Wells to class the joint up. Poor David Harewood is given nothing but the apparent direction each week to act useless and woke. No one else there seems capable of stepping up. It'll be a blow to lose Killer Frost though, when the actress leaves the show.

He's totally gonna steal the cure from them and start using it on other metas. Probably/hopefully Cisco as part of his way off the show.

This is a legitimate debate, and to be sure, Flash, unlike Wokegirl, does NOT avoid having the hero struggle with both sides of the argument. You can argue quite legitimately whether he made the right call in the end, but Flash doesn't have Barry arrogantly assuming he's right, and unpersoning anyone who disagrees.

Well that pretty much confirms Ollie will play the Flash & Supergirl role in COIE.

Well that pretty much confirms Ollie will play the Flash & Supergirl role in COIE. Probably. Meanwhile, was Perry still on Riverdale? If so, I wonder how they'll handle that. Hopefully in a nice, tasteful way. Sounds like they would, like they pretty much all loved him.
