I feel like they hired her because of her skin color.

I feel like they hired her because of her skin color. Or that she was pretty good on God Friended Me.

Honestly, it's an original character they made because Rose stepped down, so it's not like they had to go with a specific ethnicity. I don't know what the breakdown for the role read like, but it's entirely possible it was open casting. And since God Friended Me was another show Berlanti executive produced, he may've vouched for her...and she WAS pretty good on the show (which had a rushed as...um...heck...finale).
Not sure how she'll do in an action-heavy role, but since I don't watch the series, it's of little consequence. Though I'll admit to the curiosity of how they'll change the costume. Will they lose the wig? Cover the mouth portion? Keep everything as is?

Wow, they read my mind! I was thinking, what is the TV show that above any others I'm certain to never ever watch, and they NAILED it! Good on you, ATT/WB! You keep on not showing weakness, guys!

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how good Stargirl has been. Not too corny like Legends and not too sappy like Supergirl. A good bit of seriousness with characters getting killed, and nice homages to Golden Age heroes.

Yeah, it's been one of the better shows, but it kind of had a sluggish progression to that point. Not as good as Black Lightning, but it's not Supergirl from the last few years, either.
I thought it was CW, but I guess it premieres on DCU streaming first? But it's second season is apparently going to be on the CW. Honestly, I couldn't tell the difference...sure it skirted some of the contrivances of the other shows, but I couldn't see a whole lot else that separated it. And also, I guess it's a "different Earth", too? I would've thought after their COIE adaptation, they'd have maintained that consolidation...seemed like the perfect opportunity, but whatever.

IMO, it's by far the best of the DC TV shows that I've seen, (I haven't seen Doom Patrol, Swamp Thing, Krypton, or Titans). I hope they don't tie it too much if at all to the Arrowverse and bring it down that way.

Marvel related, but I watched the series finale of Agents of Shield. The chronocon storyline wasn’t the greatest, but I did like the reunion at the end. It was bittersweet, like the end of STTNG. I wonder if Daisy in space will somehow tie into The Eternals movie.

It's not nearly as busy as this thread, but Marvel barely has any TV shows now (hopefully Falcon and Winter Soldier isn't delayed too much longer):
