That was some pretty goddamn good Arrow tonight, you guys. Shit, I might've even gotten a little misty by the end. I hope they nail (or get as close to nailing as the Arrowverse can get) COIE next season, because if they don't, and hell even if they do, this probably should've been the series finale. Just a pretty perfect full circle wrap up to a lot of Ollie's series-long journey, mostly happy endings, and some really strong emotional bits in there. The ending does seem to give away the farm on how COIE is gonna end though: the heroes win and the multiverse is saved (duh, obviously), but slightly more specific, seems pretty obvious, and has since Elseworlds, that Ollie will have to "sacrifice" himself somehow, but looks like the Monitor is gonna hook him and Felicity up with the Earth-2 Clark & Lois ending to live out their twilight years in a pocket universe as their reward for shepherding all this from the beginning. At least that seems like the obvious result to me.

Thawne is the best, the big fight between him and Team Flash was sweet, and all the stuff with Nora at the end was sweet without getting too sappy, and took her off the board which they needed to do.

I liked the fight with Thawne, and even his explanation of how he masterminded events throughout the season was pretty solid, especially for this show. Though I can't say I got too sentimental when Nora got time-dusted. The show kind of plays...ahem...fast and loose with its time travel rules, maybe that's why. I dunno.
Saw Joe's promotion coming, but Singh revealing he knew Barry was the Flash was kind of surprising. Not too impactful, given Barry's shown his face to a lot of people (even super-villains), either willingly or because he's being stupid with his secret identity.

Well, that Vandal Savage appearance was probably the strangest and most unexpected cameo/callback in Arrowverse history. Not as great as previous seasons' finales, but Legends did its usual and wrapped a "good enough" story around a smattering of moments of inspired/insane genius (I legit looooooool'ed at the sheer ridiculousness of the shot of the Monitor eating popcorn ). It also left us with some intriguing setup for next season, which I assume will be a joint plot of quest for Zari and fighting all the historical villains resurrected (or whatever) by Astra. Looking forward to it.

Superman Returns Returns!
Yes, campers, Brandon Routh returns as Clark Kent/Superman in COIE, alongside the Tyler...whatever his last name is. No word on if Routh is playing the SAME Superman from his movie or not....but why the hell would you ask him to play a different version? He can trade war stories of being beaten up by Kevin Spacey when he refused to....oh, no, I'm not going there. And if you think I would have, well then, you've been paying attention, I'm flattered.
Yes, he will also be playing Ray Palmer/The Atom, but what do you think of Routh toning it down to show Tyler what's his name how to creepy stalk like all good Supermen...

And Mehcad Brooks leaves his pointless role as Jimmy Olsen next season of Supergirl. He saw that he was a joke on the series, saw that it was winding down anyway, and saw that he could do much better elsewhere and probably did what anyone would; left. The door is being held open though, should he want to return. And Winn will be back...for like 3 episodes. Meanwhile, pants, new haircut.

Ah yes, Burt Ward is in COIE! No idea what he's playing, but come on...
Too bad they didn't do this a few years ago, then we could have had Adam West himself as well...

One of the things I thought was weird and unfortunate was the actor's playing Lobo with a strong Irish accent. Which is the actor's native accent, but he managed to lose it completely playing Corrigan/The Spectre in Constantine, so I'm a bit puzzled by that choice for Lobo. Otherwise, though a bit undersized, he certainly LOOKED the part.

And the exodus continues, this time from Legends of Tomorrow, with Brandon Routh, (the Atom, Superman), leaving along with his real life wife Courtney Ford, (Nora Darkh), also leaving at the same time. Their last episode films in October. A change in the creative direction was cited, but it's probably declining ratings and a desire to cut costs IMO. The door's apparently open for them to return in the future.
It's also possible that simply putting out there again as a Superman might have reminded WB execs that the dismal Henry Cavill isn't the only living ex-Superman, and they might have something else for him in the future, Superman related or not.
