Seemed like this would be a useful general thread to start. There are some sports that just do not seem to get enough play here to warrant their own thread (my NHL thread seems like that), and this would be a place to chat about those.
Anyway, watching the Red River Shootout (Oklahoma/Texas football, for the uninitiated) and Oklahoma is off to a strong start!

First, an Tech Sgt. in the Air Force, (he mans the boom in those air to air tankers), who weighs 218 pound, benched a world record obliterating 565 pounds. He is as the immortal Bob Uecker would say..."JUST a bit stronger than I am..."  And a guy who made a sub 2 hour marathon; thought the record won't count since he broke a bunch of international rules to be eligible. Still, very impressive. Though I too have done that distance in less than 2 hours. In a car... |

LeBron, sigh...you are an assclown as Y2J would put it, quite accurately. Keep in mind that these are the same guys who don't hesitate to point out all the flaws, real and imaginary, of the US. They're real brave when it comes to things related to the US, not so much when it comes to a place much, much worse that has no problem not giving the LeBron's of the world all the money. Which, when it comes down to it, is the ultimate cause for the likes of LeBron.
Having seen too many interviews with that guy, my opinion of him was already hovering between plague and Ebola; but it's now lower than that.
