Holy smokes! Illinois knocked off Wisconsin 24-23! There's one field goal kicker that's getting laid tonight. I always thought that was the whole reason to play sports... I certainly didn't wear those horrible, bulge showing speedos because I liked them... Curiously, it works. |

Charles Barkley needs to shut the hell up! Damn, I used to like that guy, but he's just a shill for China like the others. For the record, I get it. Free speech is for the rich and famous, who decide whether or not we can upset their Chinese masters, and not for the rest of us.
I hope Barkley makes a speedy recovery after that surgery he had to remove his lips from China's butt.

I actually haven't watched the NFL in a couple of years, because I'm getting sick and tired of seeing these guys wind up like Junior Seau, or like Brett Farve, who has trouble thinking now. I think most big league team sports already have, due to rising ticket prices and the shifting of TV coverage from free over the air broadcast networks, to streaming packages that mostly don't cover the home teams. Add to that a lack of relatable "characters" in modern team sports, so many terrible stories coming out of all of them. |

Awards Season in MLB. And those are the finalists. Only real quibble I have is Alonso for the Mets not being up for MVP. One would think a rookie with the home run crown, hitting (tied IIRC) the most ever by a rookie. My picks, Trout for AL MVP. Bellinger for NL, but Rendon is also a fine choice. Alonso of course as NL Rookie of the Year. Cole in a close on over Verlander for Cy Young. Ryu for the other one. Alvarez for the Astros as the AL Rookie of the Year. The awards will be handed out on various days later this month.

It's better with the Monday Night Football commentary. Evidently, this cool cat is highly coveted in next year's draft; he's projected to go number one! His speed and ability to cut back against the grain, plus his ability to read the defense makes him the top choice.
