IMO One Of The Greatest Actors Of All Time, Max Von Sydow, Had Died At 90. He was the very best non-Queen soundtrack or trippy visual effects part of the 1980s movie Flash Gordon, chewing the scenery beautifully as the iconic bad guy. He was of course famous for The Seventh Seal, playing chess with Death. And he was one of the most chilling suspense movie bad guys in the movies, giving Robert Redford, (you know, the guy in the Marvel movies), a hard time in Three Days of the Condor. The Exorcist. Game of Thrones. The Simpsons. Judge Dredd. Conan The Barbarian. Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Genre fans should be in mourning.
No link, but his IMDB shows the huge extent of genre stuff he's done, Blofeld in Never Say Never Again, Strange Brew, video games galore, Footloose, Dune, Ghostbusters 2, Needful Things...and on and on. Interestingly considering Conan The Barbarian, he was also in Solomon Kane. RIP to a true master of acting, and by accounts a very nice man.
