Kuromi's Pretty Journey Short Anime Gets New Series with Simuldub on October 31

Sanrio announced on Thursday that Kuromi's Pretty Journey, the short anime series based on its Kuromi character, will have a new series titled Kuromi's Pretty Journey ~Hachamecha! Multiverse Dasshutsu!~ (Chaotic! The Great Multiverse Escape!) that will debut on YouTube on October 31. The anime will have a simultaneous English dub release.

The new series' story begins when Kuromi wanders into the multiverse and meets a handsome man named Nico. Together, they try to get back to their own worlds. Along the way, they meet various types of Kuromi, including a zombie Kuromi, a villainess lady Kuromi, and manga creator Kuromi, to name a few. Yūki Kaji voices the new character Nico.

Vspo! Esports VTuber Project Launches Anime Feature Film

Vspo!, Virtual Entertainment's esports virtual YouTuber project, debuted a teaser video on Thursday to announce that it is launching plans for a feature-length anime film. The staff plans to complete this first part of the anime project by the end of 2025.

The members of Vspo! stream as VTubers and compete in esports tournaments.

Sorajima, Aminohada's 'With Vengeance, Sincerely, Your Broken Saintess' Webtoon Gets 'Light Anime' in 2025

Animation ID announced on September 27 that SORAJIMA and Aminohada's With Vengeance, Sincerely, Your Broken Saintess (Kizu Darake Seijo Yori Hōfuku wo Komete) vertical-scrolling webtoon is getting a "light anime" adaptation in 2025, and the company additionally announced the cast members on Friday.

Pocket Comics releases the series in English, and it describes the story:

Lua is a saintess candidate who possesses the power of healing. But her ability had one flaw: she could only heal others by transferring their wounds onto herself. Because of this, others bullied her, calling her the "Fallen Saintess." But it didn't bother Lua because her best friend Arianne always stood up for her.
One day, Lua's crush, Commander Garrett, was on the brink of death from a beast attack. Lua healed him, which left her on the verge of death. When she woke up, she learned that all the credit was given to Arianne, and she finally saw her best friend's true color. Devastated, Lua is lost and helpless when the second prince appears in front of her with a tempting offer. What would happen to Lua as she begins her new life as a villainess?

Hana no Ko Lunlun Anime Reboot Releases 1st Trailer

More than a year after the project's initial announcement, the Hana no Ko Lunlun ("Lunlun the Flower Girl") anime reboot titled Hua Xianzi: Zhi Mofa Xiang Dui Lun (roughly translates to "Flower Angels: On the Fragrance of Magic Flowers") and produced by Toei Animation's Chinese branch and Tencent Video today released a second visual and a full trailer that gives us our first look at the new series' fresh story and characters.

Wawayu Animation (Cinderella Chef) is producing the animation for the new series, which Toei Animation describes like so (translated):

When Rumi, a young girl apprenticing at a handmade perfume studio, is assailed by a dark fog on her way home, a black cat caling itself an emissary of the planet Flowernu appears before her and awakens the power of the Flower Key left by her ancestor to turn her into a Flower Child.

In order to protect the City of Flowers, Rumi is tasked with collecting and purifying petals from the Rainbow Flower that were withered by dark magic and scattered across the city, using the magic of flower aromas to dispel the darkness implanted in people's hearts and growing as a magical girl along the way.

However, during this adventure, Rumi is attacked by another mysterious Flower Child, and discovers that the black cat by her side also has an unexpected true identity…

Gundam Franchise to Actively Develop 'AU' Works Leading Up to 2029

Naohiro Ogata, general manager of Bandai Namco Filmworks' Gundam department, said in an interview that Mantan Web posted on Sunday that the company is still developing "alternate universe" works leading up to the franchise's 50th anniversary in 2029, but that starting this fall it is focused on works set in the original Mobile Suit Gundam's "Universal Century" timeline. (Gundam franchise works can be broadly divided into works set in the "Universal Century" timeline, or other completely original universes, which are broadly referred to as "alternate universe" works, such as G Gundam.)

The official website for the television anime author Ibarakino and artist Yu Hitaki's Even Given the Worthless "Appraiser" Class, I'm Actually the Strongest (Fugūshoku [Kanteishi] ga Jitsu wa Saikyō Datta - Naraku de Kitaeta Saikyō no [Shingan] de Musō Suru) light novel series revealed on Tuesday the anime's key visual, main staff, additional cast, first promotional video, and January 9 premiere.

Kodansha USA Publishing licensed the manga adaptation by Morohoshi Fuji, and it describes the story:

I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons Anime's New Video Reveals More Cast & Staff, January 5 Debut

The official website for the television anime of Izume Sawano's I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons (Kisaki Kyōiku kara Nigetai Watashi) light novel series revealed on Wednesday (Manners Day in Japan) the key visual, more cast and staff members, information on the opening and ending theme songs, main promotional video, and January 5 premiere for the anime. The video reveals and previews the opening theme song "Kimi to Shika Koi Shinai" (I'll Only Fall in Love With You) performed by Jun Fukuyama, who voices the character Clarke. DIALOGUE+ performs the ending theme song "Alibi na Courtesy" (An Alibi-Like Courtesy).

J-Novel Club has licensed the novel series and the manga adaptation, and it describes the story:

Duchess Leticia Dorman has been betrothed to Crown Prince Clarke since age seven. Kadokawa announced on Friday that Tarō Yuri's Kaya-chan wa Kowakunai (Kaya Isn't Scared or Kaya Isn't Scary) horror action manga is getting a television anime adaptation.

The manga takes place at a nursery school where Kaya is a famous problem child. Her caretaker at the school Chie comes to learn of Kaya's hidden abilities.

Attack on Titan Finale Compilation Film Features New Post-Credits Scene

The official X/Twitter account for the Attack on Titan television anime revealed on Friday that Attack on Titan The Movie: THE LAST ATTACK, a compilation of Attack on Titan Final Season THE FINAL CHAPTERS, will have a new post-credits scene. The contents of the new footage have yet to be revealed.

The film will open a three-week limited engagement in Japanese theaters on November 8.

Art Director Ryō Kо̄no Dies

The nephew of background artist and art director Ryō Kōno (real name: Hiromi Kо̄no) revealed on Kо̄no's X/Twitter account on October 26 that she died suddenly on October 23 of suspected gastrointestinal bleeding.

Kо̄no served as the art director on such anime as Mob Psycho 100 (all three seasons), Paranoia Agent, Space Dandy (both seasons), Super Crooks, Carole & Tuesday, The Rolling Girls, Kaiba, Kemonozume, and DEVILMAN crybaby.

Kо̄no also served as a background artist for such anime as Kids on the Slope, Psycho-Pass movie, Perfect Blue, Ninja Scroll movie, A Wind Named Amnesia, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, X movie, and Cardcaptor Sakura The Movie 2: The Sealed Card, among many others.
