Just a discussion thread for any traditional medium or art supplies, tips recommendations, tutorials, etc, basically everything that's not digital. I really enjoy learning about what supplies people use, learning new techniques, anything to improve my craft. I also love posting art supply hauls here's the latest one mostly gifts but I did purchase some of it. Pictured are Canson Mixed Media 9x12 sketchbook, 3 pack of Royal & Langnickel Aqua-Flo water brush set, Set of 2 Speedball Lettering flat pen nibs for calligraphy, Another Staedtler Lead Holder because I can't own just one apparently. The gifts were a set 60 dual tip marker pens with brush and fine liner tips; 3 Boxun gel pens in silver, gold, and white; 4 Baoke refillable brush pens in different sizes; a beautiful Jinhao fountain pen with refillable ink cartridges and a Marco Raffine drawing set of 12 graphite pencils, 3 charcoal pencils, 3 sizes of blenders, dual sided pencil holder, retractable X-Acto style knife for sharpening, kneaded eraser and a soft eraser in a roll-able drawing bag with that snaps together.

I buy a lot of stuff, so im going to start with pencils, and i really prefer to use mechanical pencils.so, left to right... 0.7mm Sakura pencil w/2b lead. Nothing special about the pencil, ive had it a long time. Good for dark outline in the unlikely event i finish drawing something and decide 0.5mm mechanical pencil w/blue leads. like to use it for layouts and guidelines. Helps to avoid overworking pages.i Try to keep different pencils so i can tell them apart. 0.5mm graphgear pencil w 2b lead. Its my favorite brand of pencil because it has an amazing grip and different sizes are different colors. Normal drawing pencil. 0.3mm graphgear pencil W/ b lead. Fine details. The pencil is new, but i didnt see any 2b lead like i prefer. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

I plan to do some pieces with graphite, charcoal, watercolor color pencils, and acrylic paint markers eventually. I've been warned against using alcohol markers with the mixed media paper though. I've also switched to using that Marco Raffine soft gum eraser that came with that drawing set. Usually I swear by a white eraser and a kneaded eraser.

Just a couple of ArtBin storage boxes of mine looking pretty full. I have a smaller one as well plus I could probably fill another one. The blue one is all painting stuff, watercolor, acrylic paint, airbrush, etc and the all black box is just drawing stuff everything from pen and ink to charcoals, markers, etc. I've got a 5er riding on that micron still in the package is a .005

]I've got a 5er riding on that micron still in the package is a .005 Oh no it's a Pigma Brush pen! Thanks for playing you owe me $5
Seriously though I am considered spending $12 on an 8 set box of .005 Pigma Micron Pens on Amazon. Michaels by my house just refuses to stock up on them. As you can probably guess I already bought them and Pat Catan's out.

You can use sponges with water color for various effect. I actually bought those recently for adding Liquitex Varnish (Gloss Medium) to an acrylic painting commission I'm finishing up.

I thought only my approach towards art creating was so. Pleasant to know that not only mine.
