What I find amazing is that Jimmy Kimmel is right, half of America, specifically the Democrats, IS indeed upset that Trump did NOT collude with Russia. And many of them are STILL pushing that failed narrative. |

Well, I'm sure there are probably a fair amount of ordinary people as well in there. Meanwhile, famous black actor, (and gay), Jussie Smollett is a free man as all charges against him were dropped in what amounts to a plea deal. He forfeits his bond, and has to do community service. Do I sense the plot of a NEW Fox series? Will Fox invite him back to Empire? Will he ever be able to live down that Daily Show skit? Tune in next week, same bat-time, same bat-channel... |

Honestly, can anyone be blamed for thinking Trump might've been in league with Russian powers? He famously wanted Russian hackers to find Hillary's emails (which he NOW claims was a joke, but with the way he talks and he excuses he concocts, why should we believe that), he's said he trusts Putin's word over his own intelligence committee, a bunch of people in his cabinet (and family) have had ties with Russians...it's not like this stuff was pulled from nothing.
At the same time, let's not act as if this clears they guy. Not only did the report stipulate that its findings did not exonerate Trump, it also resulted in several arrests of his cabinet members, which led to admittance of guilt from said people...there's all the other stuff about Trump that makes him unfit for office. Hell, I don't think he's fit to play a DVD of "The Office".

Evidently, Trump wishes to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Guy has his best week ever, and what does he do? He makes another run at Obamacare, that's what! Does he really not understand that at this point, people don't WANT that?!? Sure, OCare is suckily expensive. I have a silver plan, and pay close to $900 a month. Sure, I don't like that, (and copays are also rising dramatically). But the solution is NOT to kill off OCare, but to FIX it. Do THAT and he'd be a hero. But destroy it...and any replacement is dubious, and likely at best to take time.
The Democrats, meanwhile, are in the curious position of having voted "present" instead of yes in the Senate on their own Green New Deal. Seems no one wanted to be seen actually endorsing the thing they've already endorsed, and in fact created. But thanks to Trump's DOJ stupidity, that's not going to be the top story.
Meanwhile on the Smollett case, it seems no one likes his being able to give up $10,000 and call it a day. There's talk of investigating the State's Attorney, Foxx. They didn't bother with concealing that he essentially was able to buy his way out of trouble because he was famous, (and gay).

Oh yeah, how come evil doesn't just get that Glock and shoot 007 in the face instead of putting him in an elaborate trap with sharks and laser beams? Seems to me 007 always gets away, and evil always winds up in the wood-chipper. Unless of course, that evil is me, in which case I get distracted by puppies or lizards or something right before my final triumph, and wind up petting them. "Sex tablets"? I was watching a story on the local news about some woman who gave birth to three pairs of twins, (two pairs of boy twins, and one of girl twins), with the sound off, and that was how closed-captioning handled the word "sextuplets". Though it could have been referring to Viagra... |
