Where's Godzilla when you need him? Rodan was causing me all kinds of trouble yesterday in my back yard. Well, it was some sort of bird, I'm not sure what, but it was making all sorts of racket and sounded huge, so I have to assume it was Rodan. Seriously though, never heard anything like it, it did dor of sound like a prehistoric monster. Probably a hawk or an eagle or the like, we have them here. Too late in the day for an owl, and didn't sound like one anyway, wasn't a crow or a seagull, or even a duck or goose, (only ever seen the latter once here, a few days ago).
As you can tell, I take joy in the little things, seeing what wildlife we have, (though I can give a miss to the occasional mountain lion we get---much too dangerous). Weirdly, i've never seen a rattlesnake in person in the wild, even though they're really all around. Never seen any kind of snake in the wild. Nor tarantulas or scorpions, though they're all around as well. A dead millipede once, but never living one. Gotten bitten by black widows twice...I can really do without that, very nasty, both times heavy pain and a scar.
