Would not have guessed that was a shrimp Cool little animal! BTW, thanks for putting these up; I love these critters, and it's good to see some of the more bizarre ones.

I always envisioned them as bumming a cig from their friends and hanging out in the deep sea. One of my favorites.

Apparently May 15 is dinosaur day. So what is your favorite dinosaur? I can't just choose one. A couple I like are Styracosaurus and Therizinosaurus… I like Diametradon, or however you spell it, (my pre-emptive apology for misspelling the name, I spell worse than anyone, even Zechs), the one with the sail before the dinosaurs, or the ones with the spikes on the tails and the armor plates on their backs.

Just kidding, Dimetrodon is cool.
Which one are you talking about with the spikes on the tail? Stegosaurus or Ankylosaurus?

Stegosaurus. Though the ankle-biter is cool too.

Cool little animal! BTW, thanks for putting these up; I love these critters, and it's good to see some of the more bizarre ones. Missed this. Thanks! I enjoy finding these interesting things (interesting to me anyway). Besides the starships, the aliens are my favorite things in Star Wars and Star Trek so looking at the diversity of life in the real world is also of interesting to me.

Stegosaurus. Though the ankle-biter is cool too. Cool. I like 'ol Stego too. When I was as kid, I used to love those plastic bags of random dinosaurs (usually each one was a single color, no articulation). Of course Stegosaurus, dimetrodon, ankylosaurus, triceratops, and T-Rex were almost always in those packs. Iconic.

I totally agree, the aliens and the starships are the best part of Wars and Trek, and yeah, looking at real life diversity is so very cool!

So I'm not the only one who played with those bags of dinos as a kid. Those things were great! One of my prized toys as a kid was a set with plastic trees and some caves on a mat. I'm sure looking at it now would be lame, but my imagination filled in the gaps back then and it was so so cool. I don't remember if it was a Marx product, but it kind of looks like this in my dim memory:
That's the only company I see in a brief internet search, Marx. Mine could have been a knockoff. Neat seeing the old style playsets…
EDIT: Ooo here is a list of old school dinosaur toy makers. Gotta look through that.

Whoa. Ever wonder what the Sanrio characters (Hello Kitty, etc) look like without skin? They have toys that show you…
