Not really news, but I think a bit weird...Sunday at San Clemente, a beach town south of Newport Beach where Kobe lived, the ocean temp at the beach was 80. The air temp was...77! Doesn't normally happen that way. We're also getting big catches on ocean fishing charters, with a bunch of fish we never normally get as well, all up from Mexico. San Diego often gets a yellow sea snake as well during these sorts of things. Deadly to be sure, but placid and not likely to bite. Not really sure if this is an El Nino year. If so, we might get some pretty wild weather this winter.
