The Democrats shouldn't act shocked for when they get back in power the stuff that they have been doing is done to them.

Continuing on with that last post, yes, all the Democratic players in the Presidential nomination game are calling for Kavanaugh's impeachment because...the Times lied about him again, putting forth a story of sexual harassment that the alleged victim doesn't recall happening. That does indeed sound like strong grounds for impeachment...yes, making stuff up again seems to be part of the playbook. And a couple of weeks ago, Christine Ford's lawyer admitted that the reason she did what she did was to put an asterisk next to Kavanaugh's name should he vote against Roe v Wade. As opposed to her claims actually having happened, which to be fair there was no evidence of at the hearings themselves. Actually. I dont believe Yang said anything. I admit I didn't have that one on my corruption bingo card. Not necessarily corrupt, just young and stupid. A lot of pols have slid down that particular slope. It's the malignant ones that bother me.

Meanwhile, Ed Buck, Democratic Party donor and bigwig and friend to Clintons, and sundry powerful Dems, was finally arrested. Yeah, this is the serial killer who evidently targets homosexual black men by injecting them with overdoses of meth into the....er...tallywhacker. Yes, that seemed a bit odd to me too. He's killed three guys so far IIRC, with the local black community up in arms, along with a lot of others offended by the thought of a rich guy getting off, (in more ways than one evidently), just because he's rich and powerful. But the persistence of that community got results from the Feds at least; but the guy's only been charged with drug crimes IIRC, not murder. We'll see, and guys like Buck infest politics from both sides of the aisle; the only unusual part here is that the guy was finally charged with something---he could easily have come from either party.

I was thinking about starting a 2019 NFL thread, but I'm really the wrong guy to do that as I don't follow them as closely as I do MLB. So if anyone wants to, go for it! On that line, Antonio Brown really is the gift that keeps on...crapping on the carpet? Yes, he does. I don't really want to get into the entire AB saga; it's long and funny. But now...he's tweeted that he wants nothing more to do with the NFL. Hopefully, that's legally binding. But the latest thing to get him upset was the fact that the Patriots, America's absolute FAVORITE team, ( ), dropped him days before having to pay him a $5 million check. They did include language in his contract that allows them to do so if he tarnished their image (!), which he most certainly did with the sundry rape allegations. This kind of speaks to me about the Kapernick thing. He and his supporters are claiming that he should have been invited to many NFL camps and that he's owed a job as a starting QB in the NFL. Having seen him play many times, I'd agree that he'd be a great non-Division 1 college QB. But the telling thing is that teams were reportedly expressing interest...in BROWN, even after all that stuff he's pulled. Which suggests to me that if Kapernick were truly as good as he says,

Brown's a punk. Kind of guy who'd have vanity plates on the getaway car.

Brown's a punk. Kind of guy who'd have vanity plates on the getaway car. Does seem that way, doesn't he? But since he can legit play, he still has suitors, no matter that he might flake out on them after one game...
