Wow. That looks terrible. After all, it is the spiritual successor to The Last Stand

I might watch this on TV some night; if it's 2am and there are no episodes of the Golden Girls on.

I watched this trailer again, against my better judgement...
* Man, the hair and makeup department really aren't even bothering to try anymore with the Mystique, are they? Yeesh.
* James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender really don't work as Charles Xavier or Magneto anymore. They were great in First Class and Days of Future Past as a young Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr but those films were set in the early 60's and 70's respectively. Apocalypse was set in the 80's and this film is presumably set in the early 90's. In 30 years, Charles Xavier and Magneto have aged less than their damn students!
* Wow, the way some of lines in this trailer are delivered is just...turrible. Just plain, fucking turrible.
* They were wise to downplay the scenes that were reminiscent of The Last Stand but this trailer still doesn't make the Dark Phoenix fill grandiose or epic enough.
All in all, this trailer is really underwhelming. Considering that, for all intents and purposes, this is the last hurrah of the previous X-Men film universe, they really don't seem like they are attempting to go out with a bang. More like a collected "meh."

I apparently am the only one who did not mind this trailer.
