And on the subject of Superman, I have grown to appreciate Brandon Routh's performance in Superman Returns over the years. The dude had an impossible task of playing Christopher Reeve as Clark Kent and Superman, which he performed admirably. It wasn't his fault that the rest of the movie was a dour mess. I, for one, wouldn't be opposed to Warner Bros. giving him another shot. I don't blame him; he did the best he could with what he was given, which seems to have been "act like Chris Reeve's Superman". It was a story that had some of the best Superman action/saving people scenes ever done, but still managed to be boring. Also, Spacey always creeped me out. Now I am validated. And...Gandalf...no, just no. Why did you even SAY that? But honestly, they should have just kept him instead of Cavill.

Just the way they had him play it, and the lines they gave him. It didn't feel either menacing or like Luthor to me, (and no, while I did like Hackman's Luthor, I do sort of like either the comic book versions, or Clancy Brown's version if you want to put a voice to the role).
