Apparently this whole thing started as a result of our own Jude Terror writing one of his usual type of articles over at Bleeding Cool. As Jude himself puts it in this follow up article.

As he further goes onto put it, making it clear how he feels about how his words have been misused in this manner:
So, yeah, there it is and this whole Disney is shutting down Marvel stuff is pretty much bullshit. Jude wrote an article that wasn't meant to be taken seriously, some people misunderstood what he was doing and thus a controversy that never should have been a controversy was created.

Someone started a massive rumor this weekend that Disney is planning to shut down Marvel Comics because the return of publishing the comics simply isn’t worth the effort when the real money is to be made exploiting their intellectual properties in other mediums. And as it turns out, the person that started that rumor… was me?!

If you read the actual article, and not just the headline, or worse, another site’s inaccurate summary of the article meant to further their political agenda, or just as bds as that, a Marvel Comics executive’s equally inaccurate summary meant to promote their own corporate agenda...
