A nice nod to the Legion to begin the issue and then a bunch of long silent flights to Mars. The immense heroic gathering take in the situation with Manhattan and in an absolute perfect moment, Guy Gardner break's the blue man's neck with one punch!
He gets better though and the heroes are toast.
Meanwhile, Supes, Bats and Wonder Woman have their own problems on Earth to deal with.
There's a lot happening in this issue and I can only hope whatever they're doing with Wally West here undoes his HiC death.
Huge props to Johns who remembers things like how much of a powerhouse Firestorm and Captain Atom are.
Franks inking slips in the larger group shots but it is still beautiful to take in.
It's a bitch having to wait for new issues - but it continues to be worth it.
