Seen it now.
7/10.
Skrulls were cool.

Yeah, Marvel are at the point where they can do no wrong. Good for them. Just don’t think it’s a great film.

I think it will be, but I want to see how it does during its second week before pulling the trigger on that one.

I'm glad it has done so well, and I hope this really opens the door for more female led super-movies. Especially if one of those is Squirrel-Girl or Gwenpool.

It's important to note that Captain Marvel still made $455 million worldwide during its opening weekend in spite of the fact that internet trolls discovered and performed an ancient dark ritual that siphoned 1 hour of time away from several potential movie goers. Who knows how much more this film would have made without their nefarious crimes!

OK I’m a big enough man to admit when I’m wrong, this was much better than I expected. Not perfect (a bit too info-dump expositiony in the beginning, the soundtrack was as predictably annoyingly on-the-nose as expected, and the CGI got a little wonky at times), but by and large really enjoyable. All the performances were solid, Goose and Samuel were a hoot, all the Skrully misdirection was well done, and the action stuff was pretty good. A solid mid-tier Marvel flick.

Best review of this movie I have seen yet and sums up exactly how I felt about it as well.

Haven't heard about that show in a while though. Wonder if things changed since the announcement of Disney+ and more stuff on Hulu. It was supposed to launch last year…
