With last week's Avengers: No Road Home #5 a time traveling Scarlet Witch encountered Conan. I'm figuring that this will be the beginning of the journey that will lead him into the modern Marvel Universe. This period for Conan isn't the first time in which his adventured have taken place in the MU. It's not even the first time he's fully interacted with the characters from that universe. This encounter with Thor is a prime example: I'm a little bit mixed about this to tell the truth. There's a part of me that has enjoyed Conan crossing over with the MU. However I also feel that Conan in these types of stories works best when they only an occasional thing. My fear is that his stay with the Savage Avengers isn't going to be a short term thing and we're going to see a too much of a good thing kind of situation.

I'm not keen on introducing Conan into the 'mainstream' Marvel Universe. I could accept it as a What If? story on the occasions it was done, once, maybe twice IIRC, but Conan just doesn't strike me as a good fit for the 21st century at all. And as for the idea of the Avengers Kill Krewe, well, the less said or even thought about that, the better.

Conan in 2019 is just ridiculous. As a Conan fan (more for the Howard books or Busiek's comic over Thomas's version), I just can't envision him conversing in English and using a cell phone/flying a quinjet.
I say 'reset the Marvel clock'.
