Last week's first issue of War of the Realms: Journey into Mystery marks one more return to Marvel using the old Journey Into Mystery title. This fact gave me the idea to start this thread and issue this challenge. Imagine Marvel has given you the title Journey Into Mystery to use in whatever fashion you wish. What would your version of Journey into Mystery look like? What characters would you use? What would you have them do? Let's see what you can think of.

Journey into Mystery #1001 (or whatever the actual numbering would be).
The villain Swarm spies the Human Torch flying overhead and rises to meet him. Johnny’s instantly gets ready to fight when Swarm pleads him for help. Falling off of Swarm are any number of dead bees. The more that fall, the smaller Swarm seems to get. Swarm begs for help from Reed Richards to save him/the bees. In the lab, Reed (on guard in case Swarm is feigning) examines him and determines the bees are being told to die. Reed quickly builds a mock ant-man helmet to counter the ‘die’ command, but it proves ineffective.
Sue calls Janet Van Dyne and Scott Lang to come and assist (having more experience dealing with insects). About now, it’s being reported that even more bees than usual are dying around the world, with wasps and hornet also succumbing. Ants and termites are next. At this rate Earth’s insect population has less than month and with them gone, the dominoes will eventually lead to the full extinction of life on Earth. Reed’s good, but he needs a true expert’s help in solving this.
Reed & Scott discover the kill command resembles the Psycho-Man’s emotion rays. Reed splits the team in two. Sue, Johnny, and Scott will go to the microverse and hunt Psycho-Man and Reed, Ben & Janet go off planet to hunt Hank Pym/Ultron.
The book then splits into two (ala Strange Tales to Astonish/Suspense) with each team heading out into the unknown looking for clues to the answers they seek.

I love the 60s Marvel split book throwback feel.

I would be tempted to turn it into the primary Thor title but my gut says that it should be used as a sort of anthology series that explores the lives of different Asgardians with each subsequent arc. Maybe each arc stands on it's own with very subtle threads woven throughout that eventually bring it all back together in a much larger, all encompassing arc. Maybe the title also explores some of the other supernatural or magically inclined members of the Marvel Universe that are oft neglected. Who knows? It's be nice to have a little fun with it though.
