So I've heard. Stunningly, I don't think I've seen a negative review of this movie; I can't recall the last time that happened. I shall probably see it this weekend. Does IMAX really make that much of a difference though? The only movie I've ever seen in that format was 300, and I didn't think it was all that special, save for the price. But then that wasn't a Godzilla movie.

To be honest, I thought Godzilla looked a little weird in some shots. Also, there is one part that I found less than convincing, but still liked it. One of the few Godzilla movies in recent times that I did not really hate the human part of the story (those are mostly the western ones).
Nowadays, it's about timing. I don't have a lot of free time so I go to the theater that matching when I can go (and for anime if it is subbed vs dubbed). I've liked IMAX films, but we don't really have a great IMAX theater. I've found other "deluxe" movie experiences to be just as good. Could be I am just not as observant as others (for instance, as long as it is steady, I don't mind 30fps in a videogame while others find it unbearable). There are times that IMAX films may have extra footage but this is not one of those.
