Bloody obvious, to everyone except Didio, Lee, and the whole DC crew. Or if they cannot do "better" just do more fun and breezy adventures with less overwrought angst and heavy continuity focus in them. And also ban anyone from ever mentioning The Dark Knight Returns, The Killing Joke, The Death of Superman, or any variation of the word "Crisis" around the DC writers room. They need to forget those stories exist and stop trying to write the next whatever and get on with writing a basic adventure that doesn't aim to be high art or high concept at all. |
