Generally, when you hear a story about a pro athlete, it's going to be pretty grim. He likely did something either criminal, or just plain dumb. That's the way the news seems to work, with the "if it bleeds, it leads" mantra. So I thought it would be nice for a change to post a link about a 49er doing some good. So, enjoy the nice vibe of this story. www.cnn.com/2019/12/01/us/richard-sherman-49ers-lunch-debt-trnd/index.html

MLB pitcher Trevor Bauer suffered a terrible tragedy, as have we all, and the world should be in mourning: Tragedy!

He is not just an awesome player, he seems to be a genuinely good guy. Not surprising he did something like this.

With the Dodgers, there's Justin Turner, and of course the Texans' JJ Watt, the poster boy for pro athletes doing good, among many others.

Remember the black cat that ran on the field at an NFL game? Well, it's the CURSE OF THE BLACK CAT! NFL teams with cat names, Lions, Bengals...are 0-12 since the BLACK CAT doomed them...

So it's good news for Angels fans. Well, maybe, depending on how you look at it; the Angels are staying in Anaheim till 2050 at least, with Moreno the owner buying the Big A and the land around it for $350 million, and he will also fund entirely any future improvements, with no taxpayer involvement. I'll believe that when I see it. Objectively, the Angels are terrible, always have been save for that one WS season, and show no commitment to improve the team via free agency. Yay, the horrible baseball team with the best player in the game is staying!

TIto Ortiz, on something of a comeback, beat Alberto "El Patron" in like 3 minutes of the first round in their MMA fight the other day. A rear naked choke, forcing the former WWE wrestler to tap. Ortiz was in total control the whole time.

I was at the Patriots/Chiefs game last night and I think I'm now convinced to allow Skynet to replace these pathetic refs.

Sadly Cole had turned to the Dark Side of the Force by signing with the MLB embodiment of evil, the New York Yankees for $335 million. Don't recall how long his time in hell will be, it doesn't matter.
