The TV adaptation of Rucka's Stumptown is amazing. Frigging amazing. If you aren't watching this series, you're missing out on one of the best (new) shows this year. Great cast, great stories, great characters, great banter. And like the comic, it manages to feature the best elements from The Rockford Files and yet stake out new ground. I'm incredibly impressed.
What I like most about the series is its plot structure. Each episode is one-and-done, but the show has several subplots that build across multiple episodes and that develop toward their own big stories. So you can catch a random episode and know exactly what's going on. But once you do, you're desperate for next week's episode to see where some interesting plot thread goes. It's the TV equivalent of a '70s comic.

Oh, also, I'm enjoying Evil. I thought the show's gimmick would hit a narrative wall, fast. But four episodes in, and I'm still interested and entertained.
