Outland was a not very well known gem, High Noon in space. Connery was his usual brilliant self.

This got me thinking about all his other great roles. or rather roles HE made great. Time Bandits is one, a small double role where he absolutely stole the whole movie. And THAT got me thinking of Terry Gilliam, and what a great director he was. His own movies such as Brazil, Time Bandits, and Baron Münchhausen, were all of a piece, brilliants, satirical, dark comedy, and deeply weird, with an almost dream-like, or nightmare-like feeling to them. And Connery not only fit right in there, he ruled.
And now I have quite a film festival lined up for the weekend.

The last picture taken of Connery, holding his wife's hand. They were married for 45 years.
