If you believe the Internet and the various news outlets therein, Gwyneth Paltrow will officially exit the Marvel Cinematic Universe after the release of Avengers: Endgame. “I mean, I’m a bit old to be in a suit and all that at this point,” Paltrow, 46, told Variety in this week’s cover story. “I feel very lucky that I did it, because I actually got talked into it. I was friend with [‘Iron Man’ director] Jon Favreau. It was such a wonderful experience making the first ‘Iron Man’ and then to watch how important it has become to fans.” Paltrow later goes on to threaten fans with the possibility of returning to the franchise, “Of course, if they said, ‘Can you come back for a day?,’ I will always be there if they need me.”

Well, I suppose SOMEONE in Hollywood had to like her. But fortunately, she has a second career as a pro skier...

Actors will always age beyound their characters. Unless they cgi the shit of them (like Sam Jackson in the new Danvers movie) I think the next question is - who will be the next Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, Thor & Happy Hogan?
