The destruction in the Bahamas from Dorian is incredible; the place looks like one of those WWII cities after the bombings---there's almost nothing left. The death toll is currently 43, but thousands are missing, and reportedly the smell of death is everywhere. And of course there are many stories coming out of that, from the tragic to the heroic. The Coast Guard is helping, as are cruise lines and many nations.

I'm kind of surprised that some things are still standing. I am not sure if Iniki was even a cat2 when it hit Kauai and that caused massive damage. If a 5 ever hit us, we'd be gone. I hope that they can recover as well as possible.
