2 million people are at 'high' risk for catastrophic tornadoes in parts of Oklahoma and Texas

For the first time in two years, forecasters issued their most dire warning for the risk of catastrophic tornadoes.

Over 2 million people are in harm's way in parts of the Texas Panhandle and Oklahoma, with the National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center issuing a threat level 5 out of 5 for violent tornadoes Monday.

"This event should result in a significant threat to life and property," the Storm Prediction Center said.

Uh....whoa! It's looking like a bad day to be on the Southeast Coast. Well, couple of days. Hurricane Dorian is now a strong Cat 5 with sustained winds of 180 miles an hour. In other words, it's a monster, and its about to hit the Bahamas. Safety to the people living there, and if you're in Florida, Georgia, or the Carolinas, you might want to either take that vacation in Utah you've been thinking about, or at least batten down.

Gusts are over 200 miles per hour, and it's the strongest hurricane ever to hit the Bahamas. Actually, CNN calls it the strongest storm to hit the entire planet this year.

It is expected to make "catastrophic landfall" in the Bahamas Sunday.

I feel bad that I didn't post about Dorian. Thing is a monster. Seems a tiny bit lucky for Florida (though they still might see some bad crap), but poor Bahamas…
