Back at the Outhouse, I had a thread for news about natural disasters. Partially a warning, also an observance of how weather/geology is a powerful force.

Uh....whoa! It's looking like a bad day to be on the Southeast Coast. Well, couple of days. Hurricane Dorian is now a strong Cat 5 with sustained winds of 180 miles an hour. In other words, it's a monster, and its about to hit the Bahamas. Safety to the people living there, and if you're in Florida, Georgia, or the Carolinas, you might want to either take that vacation in Utah you've been thinking about, or at least batten down.
Gusts are over 200 miles per hour, and it's the strongest hurricane ever to hit the Bahamas. Actually, CNN calls it the strongest storm to hit the entire planet this year.
It is expected to make "catastrophic landfall" in the Bahamas Sunday.

Seems a tiny bit lucky for Florida (though they still might see some bad crap), but poor Bahamas…

With me being in South Carolina I'm in Dorian's path. Hopefully the predictions remain true and it will be a Category 2 when it passes by us.
