Fuuto PI Anime Gets Film Opening on November 8

Toei announced on Sunday that the FUUTO PI anime based on the Fūto Tantei manga is getting an anime film titled Fūto Tantei: Kamen Rider Skull no Shōzō (FUUTO PI: Portrait of Kamen Rider Skull) that will screen for a limited time in Japanese theaters starting on November 8. The film will tell the story of the beginning of Kamen Rider W.

Toei describes the manga:

FUUTO is under the protection of Shotaro and Philip,
But bizarre incidents continue to occur frequently on the far side of the city.
Tokime, a mysterious beauty, appears and a new evil casts its shadow over the windy city.
It's the beginning of a new battle for Kamen Rider W.

Masakazu Katsura's Superhero Manga Wingman Gets Live-Action TV Series

TV Tokyo announced the live-action television series adaptation of Masakazu Katsura's Wingman manga on Tuesday. The series will begin airing on October 22 at 24:30 (effectively October 23 at 12:30 a.m.) to celebrate the series' 40th anniversary, with new episodes every Tuesday. Katsura drew an illustration to celebrate the announcement.

Wingman follows tokusatsu (special effects) nerd Kenta Hirono, a second-year middle school student who dreams of becoming a hero. One day, a mysterious woman named Aoi from the realm of Podreams appears before him. After sketching his superhero Wingman on the woman's Dream Notebook, he's able to transform into the hero and becomes involved in a fight between good and evil.
The series inspired an anime adaptation in 1984.

FUUTO PI: Kamen Rider Skull no Shōzō Anime Film's Trailer Unveils More Cast, Theme Song

The official Twitter account for the FUUTO PI anime based on the Fūto Tantei manga unveiled a new trailer and visual for the Fūto Tantei: Kamen Rider Skull no Shōzō (FUUTO PI: Portrait of Kamen Rider Skull) anime film on Friday. The trailer unveils more cast members, and reveals and previews the film's theme song "Niau Otoko ni Nare" (Become a Worthy Man). Kouji Kikkawa wrote, composed, and sang the song as Sōkichi Narumi — the character which he played in the original Kamen Rider W show, and a central character in the new film.

Live-Action Wingman Series Reveals 7 New Cast Members, Key Visual

The staff for the live-action television series of Masakazu Katsura's Wingman manga revealed the key visual and seven more cast members on Wednesday.

Wingman follows tokusatsu (special effects) nerd Kenta Hirono, a second-year middle school student who dreams of becoming a hero. Live-Action Cells at Work! Film's Trailer Reveals Official HiGE DANdism's Theme Song

The staff for the live-action film of Akane Shimizu's Cells at Work! (Hataraku Saibō) manga revealed in a full trailer on Tuesday that Official HiGE DANdism is performing the theme song "50%." The trailer previews the theme song, which the band created specifically for this film.

The film will premiere in Japan on December 13.

Live-Action Under Ninja Film Streams 1st Trailer

The staff for the live-action film of Kengo Hanazawa's Under Ninja manga revealed the film's first full trailer on Tuesday.

The film opens in theaters in Japan on January 24, 2025.

Manga publisher Denpa is releasing the manga in English, and it describes the series:

A high school loner is given the part-time job of a lifetime as a modern day ninja tasked to perform international assassinations.

After World War II, Allied Command in Japan developed a new agency to help manage terrorism and violence within the Pacific region. The agency was staffed with ninja and they were initially tasked to handle domestic affairs. Eventually that program grew to its current form, managing 20,000 ninja across a range of domestic and international affairs. One of those ninja happens to be Kurō. The seventeen-year-old high school loser is now poised to be the next line of defense against a potential surge in foreign assassins invading Tokyo.

FUUTO PI Anime Film Shares New Action-Packed Opening Day Trailer

Fuuto Tantei: Kamen Rider Skull no Shozo ("FUUTO PI: Portrait of Kamen Rider Skull"), a new feature film in the FUUTO PI anime series, opens in theaters across Japan today on November 8. To commemorate the theatrical release, the series' official X (formerly Twitter) is now streaming an action-packed new trailer.

The film depicts the episode "Begins Night," which led the main character Shotaro Hidari and his partner Phillip to fight as Kamen Rider W. The new clip focuses on "Begins Night" and what happened to Shotaro, Phillip and Shotaro's mentor Shokichi Narumi that night. In addition to the intense battle scenes, the first transformation scene of Kamen Rider W Fang Joker in the movie is also featured.
