No one's helping you clean up that hooker you killed. You're mistaking me for chap.... I always clean up after myself.

So Charles Barkley had the best one on the Smollett case; he suggested that Smollett should have just gone walking around in Liam Neeson's neighborhood...

Well, finally an update on a local story I originally posted last year on the Outhouse version of this thread, the autopsy report on KTLA channel 5 anchor/reporter Chris Burroughs was released, and it was as expected, he died of an accidental meth overdose compounded by hypertension, (high blood pressure), and some other sort of heart disease. That one got me because I watched him every weekend, and often during the week, (when he served as a location reporter). And he was the kind of guy you felt you knew and would like. Goes to show you it's hard to really know anyone. There had been no hint he had that sort of problem, and I was wondering...why?
But then I got to thinking, maybe he took it to stay awake? I don't really know what meth does to a person, so I don't know if that's even feasible, but those guys and gals work insane hours, getting up at two in the morning to start a newscast at 4 AM, and they travel hundreds of miles a day to wherever the news is. I'm not surprised, his death was always considered as a result of an overdose, but I am sad, especially for his wife and daughter.

Heh, I love the use of "allegedly", for a crime caught in good view on at least two cell cams. Also, they got it wrong in the headline, the victim was not a student, but rather a member of a conservative organization invited to man the booth.

They're talking about banning all smoking in the Tokyo Olympics. Im usually in favor of smoking zones located where second hand stuff won't hurt anyone (life is hard, let people have their soothers), but I lowkey hope they ban it all. I like lungs pretty in pink

They're talking about banning all smoking in the Tokyo Olympics. I like this news. They probably mean just tobacco and e-cigs. There will still be smoking there.

So a bit more on KTLA anchor/reporter Chris Burroughs' death. Seems he was found with a male companion at a Day's Inn. Other news outlets are claiming that it was the obvious, a sexual encounter. KTLA isn't reporting that, I assume out of respect for his wife and daughter. Just a sad thing when someone you see every day or nearly so, even if only through TV, dies so prematurely, (he was 43).

The way everyone phrases it makes it sound like places have complete bans...and then they argue for marijuana.

Oh jeeze, the news on that Burroughs' death just gets worse and worse for his family. Seemed he had hooked up with some guy on grindr for some seriously kinky sex, stuff involving him wearing a leather mask and inserting meth into....I'm just not going there. Seemed to have been a regular and unknown thing with him.
