Oh dear, this one's bad. We got the climax of the movie "Twister" last night across multiple states, with the Kentucky governor estimating that between 50 to 100 people were killed in his state from multiple tornadoes, and at least 3 in Tenn. A nursing home was leveled, with at least 3 dead and more possible tornadoes heading their way. An Amazon warehouse collapsed with many feared trapped in the rubble. As did an occupied candle factory, another mass casualty event. Damn, those things have always scared me. Hope that guy is wrong and the toll is much less...

Didn't watch the news yet, but did get an email fro fed ex about possible service delays because of severe weather. Hope the death toll is as low as possible.

All local beaches here were closed, something that hasn't happened in my lifetime. Even my favorite, Newport Beach. Up north about 500 miles, Santa Cruz Harbor has experienced some flooding from the thing. That place funnels the waves, meaning it's nearly always hit whenever there's a tsunami.

Just saw some video of a harbor near San Diego. Now a huge wave, but damn that looks weird. You would see that and get away from the water, and you'd have to be nuts to swim in it.

We're clear.

It's Gamera's fault. He rolled over in Lake Biwa, which somehow triggered that thing way offshore. That's science. Fortunately, the catfish or Gamera, which I think more likely, was not that angry AFAIK, and the waves aren't like those others.
