Wow, lots of snow and cold everywhere! But don't worry about me, it's terribly cold here too, in the mid 70s, and while it is bright and sunny, it will get dark around 5 PM. So, all you east of me people, stop whining about the snow and cold, and think about my situation!

While no one can ever tell, I should be. It's not going to be as hard as it was earlier, and we've had a couple of days to dry out a bit. The truly big flooding was up North. The really annoying thing is that despite our desperate need for more water, most of this will simply run out to the sea and be lost, because our drainage system is actually a flood control system designed to funnel as much water as possible as quickly as possible right out to see, to prevent the terrible floods that did plague Los Angeles and parts South in the early to mid 20th century.

Yeah, a pity about the drought.
Still, please take care. I see that more systems are on their way and hope they don't hit more south this time.

Thanks. But it's supposed to hit us directly with whatever it's got. Probably be okay, they rarely get forecasts for rain here right, and we'll likely get a bit of rain, but not too much to cope with.

Yep, my roof leaks...a lot. Didn't need that expense. Much more rain than I thought, but no flooding here at least. Color me embarrassed.

Thank goodness Guam escaped major disaster from Mawar. Was pretty close though.

Late to report (sorry my life has been kind of hell recently, nothing to do with the hurricane or wildfire), but I'm sure most people heard about the wildfires on Maui. Horrible situation.
