Pontypool - most different kind of zombie film I've ever seen. Spider Baby- Lon Chaney Jr's final film and Sid Haig's first. Targets- Boris Karloff's final film he made. There were others, but they didn't come out until after he died.

Why has this thread died? Does no one want to talk about Hawke The Slayer?

Can always argue if The Babadook is the best thing to come out of Australia since Hugh Jackman.

Not sure what counts as “little movies”, but some non-blockbuster, non-A-list starpower type stuff I really love:
Diggstown The Adventures of Ford Fairlane The Great White Hype Friday House Party Mallrats Monster Squad Young Sherlock Holmes

Gorgo. The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms, (love how they didn't know what a fathom is, also, one of the inspirations for Godzilla).

Did I already mention Capricorn One? I know the thread is about the "little movies you love" but Capricorn One? I had a hankering to watch that again with "The Final Countdown" as I hadn't seen either of them in decades. Both are extremely dated, but Cap1 was just bloody awful. I have no idea why (I thought) I liked in the first place. Pure garbage. Conversely, Final Countdown still holds up as an enjoyable film.

I liked Cap One largely because of Kojak and his chase scene, plus the ending where Brolin shows up for his own funeral much to the dismay of Hal Holbrook. I liked Countdown...but it was a bit frustrating what with them never explaining the storm, or why it choose to come back. The F-15s vs the Zeroes was fun though. But it would have been interesting to see a complete alternate history is the Nimitz, maybe along with another carrier group, had fought out the war. Part of the reason Cap One was a bit...disconcerting, was the inclusion of OJ. Or course then, no one knew that he was a double murderer...
