My favorite "not blockbuster" sci-fi movie. . . The Last Starfighter:
Fun movie, good effects for the time and most of all; Robert Preston stealing every scene that he's in. Preston was probably just doing it for the paycheck and the fact that the roles were hardly coming in anymore, but he looked like he was having fun. |

So many great performances in this movie. Dan Hedaya as Captain Logan was fantastic in this film. Perfect for that role. Finally a movie police captain who was not swearing like a sailor and losing his mind every six seconds. |

Hell yeah, love this one. Joey Pants as Snake FTW.
