Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1: Legacy Reread this last night. Not as enamored with it as I was when it first came out, but there's plenty to like in the pages. Stuff like Knowhere, Cosmo, The Universal Church of Truth, and the stuff with Mantis and Peter are still compelling.

Stuff like Knowhere, Cosmo, The Universal Church of Truth, and the stuff with Mantis and Peter are still compelling. I reread this not too long ago. I found myself enjoying it quite a bit although I did find certain things to be particularly grating like Brad Walker's jarring facial contortions or Phyla-Vell just in general.

Still working on it, but I've loved the book throughout so far, so unless BKV pulls a really weird, dumb twist out of his ass, I expect I'll like this volume too.

I bought so many damn books at ECCC. But when a vendor has 80% off trades, how can you say no?

Coyotes Vol. 2 Wasn't blown away by the first volume, but the second one grew on me. Not sure how the series would read in one sitting, but this ended on a good note.

Cyclops Vol. 1: Starstruck - I remember liking this comic so much more when it was being released monthly. The dialogue felt really clunky in the first issue, particularly the dialogue between the alien members of the Starjammers. It hit its stride as it progressed but, if I am being honest, I can see why this series didn't really continue for very long and to me, that's a shame. It's always good business to have a Cyclops book.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Vol. 2 - I still can't get over what Kyle Higgins has accomplished with this series but the Boom! MMPR series is insanely compelling and entertaining.

I've been reading Simone's Domino book lately, and it reminded me how much I loved her Deadpool/Agent X run, so I figured I'd give it a re-read. I'm halfway through (finished the DP arc and about to start the Agent X stuff) and I think it still holds up, largely because of the fun quirky side characters Gail created like Sandi and Outlaw and Ratbag (and bringing in Taskmaster too). Her Wade was still silly but not as much so as some other writers' versions, he's got a solid serious streak and really cares for his new friends, so he's not unbearable here like he can be.

The entirety of Nu52 JL was the hackiest version of "Johns in full-on hack mode" that ever hacked. God, that run was terrible.
